Eden The air was hot and thick, and my deep breaths were long and lazy. I lay back in the arms of the tree, letting the rough bark brush my carefully tanned and moisturised skin. A pool of sunlight streamed across my bare stomach. Somewhere, a cicada croaked, its voice radiating out across the valley. Trees rustled in agreement, a gentle breeze pushing back the full, dark leaves. My eyes wandered to the river in the belly of the valley. The pure water slowly flowed down, over rocks and boulders. I began the trek to the river, deciding on impulse to fulfil my promise to myself of a bath. My bare feet moved care
